Biofield Tuning & Therapeutic Sound

A holistic energy healing experience. 1:1 sessions in person or distance.

What is Biofield Tuning?

"Everything is electromagnetic energy, vibrating at different frequencies. In other words, electricity. It's all energy, frequency and vibration" - Eileen Day McKusick"

Your body is more than flesh and bone. It has an electromagnetic field, a living, layered record of everything you've experienced, felt, inherited, and carried. That field is called your biofield.

Biofield Tuning is a therapeutic sound modality developed by researcher and practitioner Eileen McKusick, based on over two decades of mapping the human biofield. Using precision-calibrated tuning forks, a practitioner moves through the field. Both on and off the body, listening for areas of dissonance, density, or incoherence. When the forks encounter a disruption, the coherent sound signal acts as a reference point, helping the nervous system recognize and reorganize the pattern. By shifting the body's magnetic field, and by shifting the electrical flow of the body, we are able to release pain, tension, stuck emotions and trauma.

Think of it as combing through static in your signal and "raising your voltage". With increased voltage, your body has the energy to heal itself...

What is Therapeutic Sound Healing?

Sound healing is one of the oldest forms of medicine on earth. Every culture has used voice, instrument, and frequency as a tool for restoration, and modern research is catching up to what our ancestors already knew: sound moves the body at a cellular level. In a session with me, therapeutic sound may include crystal singing bowls, vocal toning, intentional breath, and more, layered on top of the Biofield Tuning work to deepen the nervous system response and support what the tuning forks have already begun to shift.

What is Intuitive Energy Healing?

Energy healing is the thread that runs through everything I do. I bring my own intuitive perception into every session, listening through multiple pathways of awareness... an intuitive hit, a felt sense in my own body, an image or message that surfaces and wants to be named. Similar to Reiki or Therapeutic Touch, I also use my hands and energy to channel Universal Life Force and support the body's vital energy in moving freely. What makes my approach distinct is the lineage I bring, my own Celtic ancestral traditions of Awen, the flowing creative spirit, and Nwyfre, the animating life force that moves through all living things.

What Happens in a Session with David?

After booking, you will receive a brief intake form so I can better understand what is bringing you in, what you are experiencing, and what you would like support with.

For virtual sessions, I will also send your private Zoom link and simple instructions for preparing a comfortable space. For in-person sessions, you will receive arrival and parking details.

Beginning the Session

We begin with a short conversation about what you are carrying and what you hope to explore or shift. You do not need to arrive with a clear agenda. Sometimes people simply know that something feels stuck, unsettled, or ready for attention. That is enough.

For an in-person session, you will rest fully clothed on a treatment table. We begin with grounding, breath, and an invitation to settle. I may then use weighted tuning forks on the body at specific points, followed by unweighted forks throughout the biofield.

Therapeutic sound, voice, energy healing, guided awareness, and intuitive deep listening may be woven into the session as needed. I work with both the structured Biofield Tuning method and my intuitive sensitivity, which means impressions, images, ancestral themes, or messages may sometimes arise as I move through different areas of the field.

At the close of the session, we take time to integrate. I will share what I noticed and may offer simple practices to support your system afterward.

Session Lengths

Standard in-person sessions are 60 minutes. Extended sessions are 90 minutes.

The extended session allows more time for body-based work and vibrational input, including techniques such as the Spinal Walk, Sacral Stabilization, work around the back of the head, and focused attention to trigger points, fascia, lymphatic pathways, and other areas where the physical body and energy field interact.

Distance Sessions

Distance sessions take place over Zoom. You may lie down or sit comfortably in your own space while I work within your energy field and energetic hologram from mine.

This is not simply a conversation over video. It is an immersive and somatic experience that may include tuning forks, breathwork, guided meditation, voice, energy healing, and intuitive guidance. Many clients also appreciate being able to rest quietly afterward without needing to travel.

Why Regular Sessions Can Matter

One session may create meaningful relaxation, insight, or movement, but the body and biofield often reveal themselves in layers. A starting series of three sessions can allow each experience to build on the last and support a deeper relationship with your body, patterns, and inner awareness.

From there, some people continue monthly or return as needed. More focused offerings, such as the Adrenal Rhythm Reset, may also be available for those who want to work intentionally with a particular pattern or area of support.

What Can A Session Support?

  • Nervous system dysregulation, chronic stress, or burnout
  • Anxiety, depression, or emotional heaviness that won't shift
  • Grief, loss, or stuck emotion
  • Trauma patterns, including ancestral and inherited trauma
  • Physical tension held in the body without a clear cause
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your sense of direction
  • Life transitions and identity shifts
  • Beliefs, conditioned patterns, and states of mind that keep you cycling through the same experiences
  • General maintenance and energetic hygiene

Additional Ways to Work Together

Alongside individual and group sessions, I offer tunings for homes, offices, couples, families, and animals. This includes energetic clearing and tuning of living or working spaces, sessions for pets, couples’ tunings, and gentle end-of-life support for people and animals receiving hospice care.

I also offer longer-term, collaborative wellness support for those navigating a specific health concern or life transition. Together, we can clarify your intentions, create a supportive plan, and build an ecosystem of care that may include referrals and coordination with trusted chiropractors, acupuncturists, nutritionists, bodyworkers, and other practitioners.

These offerings are personalized and scheduled by request. Email me to arrange a brief phone consultation and explore what kind of support may be the best fit for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to believe in this for it to work? No. Skepticism is welcome — in fact, it often makes for the most interesting sessions. The tuning forks interact with the biofield whether or not you have a framework for understanding it. Your only job is to show up and breathe.

What does it feel like? Everyone experiences it differently. Common sensations include warmth, tingling, involuntary breath releases, emotional waves, or simply a deep settling. Some people see colors or images. Some feel nothing during the session and notice shifts in the days that follow.

How many sessions do I need? One session can offer meaningful relief and insight. Most people notice a cumulative deepening over a series of three to five sessions, as the nervous system learns to hold a new baseline. I'll never push a package — we go at your pace.

Can I do a distance session if I've never had one in person? Absolutely. Many of my clients have only ever worked with me remotely and report the same depth of experience as in-person clients.

Don't see a time that works? Reach out — virtual sessions are flexible, including after hours.

Contraindications & Considerations

Sound healing is a gentle and beneficial practice for most people. However, there are some important considerations and contraindications to be aware of:

  • Sound-Induced Epilepsy: Individuals with a history of sound- or light-induced epilepsy should avoid sound healing, as certain tones or frequencies may trigger a seizure.
  • Pregnancy (First Trimester): Sound healing is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy, especially with instruments placed directly on the body.
  • History of Psychosis or Severe Mental Illness: Those with a history of psychosis or severe dissociation should avoid alternative therapies like sound healing unless under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional.
  • Pacemakers and Metal Implants: Tuning forks and instruments placed directly on the body should be avoided near pacemakers, metal implants, or surgical hardware, as vibrations may interfere with function or cause discomfort. Please let me know in advance!
  • Recent Surgery or Injuries: Use caution around areas of recent surgery, fractures, or acute inflammation—off-the-body techniques are recommended in these cases.

If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before participating. Sound healing is a complementary practice and not a substitute for medical care.
