How I Hold This Work
Personal healing, collective care, and our relationship with the living world.
Everything is Interconnected
“The forest is far more than a source of timber. It is our collective medicine cabinet. It is our lungs. It is the regulatory system for our climate and our oceans. It is the mantle of our planet. It is the health and well-being of our children and grandchildren. It is our sacred home. It is our salvation.”
— Diana Beresford-Kroeger
I believe healing is both personal and collective. We all live within environments that affect our bodies, nervous systems, relationships, and sense of possibility. Working on yourself matters. So does helping to change the conditions around us, not only for ourselves, but for one another and the living world. I do not see these as separate practices.
I believe in pleasure, rest, joy, and the full aliveness of being a body on this earth. These are not luxuries or rewards for completing enough shadow work. They are part of what we are healing our way back toward and refusing to disconnect from.
As a white-bodied practitioner, I remain actively engaged in my own healing work around lineage, conditioning, the traditions I study, and the communities and cultures I move through. I hold this work with an awareness that learning, accountability, and relationship are ongoing.
Healing that only turns inward and never considers what we have collectively inherited is not the whole picture for me. We are living through active ecocide and the destruction of forests, waterways, and ecosystems that sustain life. We are also living through devastating violence and humanitarian crises, including in Gaza, Sudan, Congo, and other communities whose suffering the world is too often encouraged to ignore.
We carry the legacy of colonization in our institutions, relationships, nervous systems, and severed connections to land and ancestry. We are also navigating a digital age that has accelerated extraction, surveillance, and disconnection from the earth and from one another at a scale our ancestors could not have imagined.
These are not merely abstract issues. They affect the environments in which healing takes place, the stories we carry, and what may arise within the body and biofield.
All vibrations are welcome here, not only the high ones. Grief, rage, confusion, numbness, and uncertainty belong as much as peace, pleasure, clarity, and joy. I am not here to police your process or tell you what your healing should look like.
The earth is alive. Our ancestors remain part of us. People are suffering within systems in which all of us are entangled in different ways. I do not believe we can fully heal by pretending otherwise, and I do not believe we must choose between tending to ourselves and tending to our communities and world.
“We must liberate our spirit for true healing and liberation. We must reconnect to the divine in us and in all beings.”
— Dra. Rosales Meza
*In a spirit of reciprocity and collective care, 10% of proceeds from group circles and sound baths is redistributed among Lenape and other Indigenous-led initiatives, Land Back efforts, direct support for Palestinian families, humanitarian aid in Gaza, Sudan, Congo, and other communities facing crisis, animal protection, and work caring for water, climate, ecosystems, and communities.
